Generations of Hines have been involved in the horticulture industry.  In 1954 Bob and Mary Hines made their dream of starting a nursery come true.  Later their two sons Ben and Ed Hines decided to join that dream.  The family became a well known part of the local horticulture industry and joined many trade associations.  Ben Hines decided to expand his knowledge of the industry by earning a degree in ornamental horticulture from Clemson College in 1963.  Ed Hines also earned a degree in ornamental horticulture from Clemson University in 1966.

Today the business is still a family organization with Ben, Ed, and Ed and Cassie's son, Keith Hines, playing  vital roles in the business' operation.  Ben Hines manages the maintenance department relying on his years of horticulture experience.  Ed Hines operates the nursery department growing quality plants for landscapers, nurseries, garden centers, and homeowners.  Keith Hines earned a degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina Spartanburg in 1992 and currently is our general manager  of the landscape construction division.  Ed Hines Nursery and Landscape holds membership with the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA), the Palmetto Association of Horticulture Professionals (PAHP), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Ed Hines Nursery & Landscape desires to be a growing company that provides focused high quality plant material and horticultural services to the delight of their customers in a rapidly changing horticultural business.    Several other family members, including Ed and Cassie's youngest son, Graylon Hines, are currently working for the company or plan to work for the company in the future.  The business will continue to carry on the dream of Bob and Mary Hines as it grows.

Our Mission...

is to support our customers in their desire to beautify, enjoy, and add value to their quality of life through horticultural products and services.
